Arquitectura Aqui is an output of two research projects:
– ReARQ.IB – Built Environment Knowledge for Resilient, Sustainable Communities: Understanding Everyday Modern Architecture and Urban Design in the Iberian Peninsula (1939-1985) (European Research Council – ERC Starting Grant 949686), hosted by DINÂMIA’CET – Centre for the Study of Socioeconomic Change and the Territory (Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon), PI Ricardo Costa Agarez; and
– ArchNeed – The Architecture of Need: Community Facilities in Portugal (1945-1985) (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia – PTDC/ART-DAQ/6510/2020), hosted by CIDEHUS – Interdisciplinary Centre for History, Culture and Societies (University of Évora), PI Ricardo Costa Agarez with co-PI Dulce Freire (UCoimbra) and researchers Joana Brites (UCoimbra) and João Paulo Martins (FAUL), participating institutions Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Direção-Geral do Património Cultural (lately Património Cultural, I.P.).
The Arquitectura Aqui platform was developed by Plano B (Rio de Janeiro, BR) for Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon and Évora University (PT).
