"Master in Landscape Architecture at Higher Institute of Agronomy (Lisbon) in 1971.

Professional work at National Housing Institute, collaborating in several housing plans and in green areas concept and rules (1971-1974). From 1975 - 1986 at the National Environmental Department, contributed to environmental and land use planning legal framework.

In 1976 moved up to the University of Évora - invited teacher at Landscape Architecture Course (1976-2011).

Since 1987 worked at the Regional Department of Alentejo (Planning and Environmental Ministry), with the position of Regional Director for Land Use Planning, for twenty years.

Retired in 2011.

From the professional course points out the defense of ecological principles, humanistic concerns and public interest in the land use planning process and permanent teamwork.

Member of the European Consultative Forum on the Environment and Sustainable Development, DG XI, 1994-2001.

Portuguese Association of Landscape Architects founder in 1976 and President 2009 - 2012.

Delegate from Portugal to IFLA and IFLA EUROPE -European Federation of Landscape Architects, member of IFLA EUROPE Education Committee since 2001. Honorary member in 2015. Currently IFLA Europe Vice President for Education."
